Automatic assembly of switch-disconnectors: pitasc in use with cobot

The "pitasc" software enables flexible assembly automation with robots by providing structured and modular workpiece-related programming based on the robot's sensor information. By using prefabricated and reusable program modules, assembly tasks can be implemented faster and efficiently adapted to new variants. For example, the robot position, fixtures and even the end effector can be changed without time-consuming reprogramming. The pitasc system supports the development of robust force-guided robot programs for assembly, and provides force monitoring and strategies to prevent component jamming during assembly.

We will demonstrate future-oriented industrial automation from Omron Electronics: At automatica 2023, we will present a trade show cell in which a Scara robot takes center stage. Small vials are moved on a rotary indexing table, which the Scara robot picks up individually and positions precisely. The speed and efficiency with which the robot operates is an example of Omron's reliability. A particular focus of the cell is the dashboard, which provides comprehensive real-time analysis of process performance.
