Cable assembly: detect, grip and plug cables using 2D laser scanner
Detecting and gripping freely hanging cables is a highly complex task for a robot. In this video we show how a complete 3D point can be generated from the scan result by means of a 2D laser scanner in order to precisely locate e.g. a flexurally slack part such as a cable or wires in order to then force-control it/with a force-torque sensor into a component.
