Linear transfer systems as a basis

A linear transfer system from the LS series is used as the basis of this functional subsystem. LS is suitable for displaying linear, continuous assembly processes in the tightest of spaces. At the same time, the LS linear transfer systems are the perfect platform for other WEISS components such as HP Pick & Place units, delta robots, indexing tables or linear axes.

When engineering these functional partial solutions, WEISS works in close cooperation with system integrators, machine builders and users. The solutions from WEISS are mechanically coordinated with each other. On the software side, the communication of components and their integration are planned at all times. The W.A.S. control packages ensure this. They are compatible with each other and, thanks to different interfaces, also with the higher-level PLC.

Simulation models as a decision-making aid

In the selection of the right components, digital tools and VIBN simulation models are increasingly providing support. Already in the planning phase of the assembly plant, individual products and subsystems can be compared and optimized. Therefore, WEISS is increasingly digitizing its product portfolio.
